139-6123-7375The anti falling ability of fiberglass safety helmets mainly depends on relevant standards and their own mechanical properties. In the national standard for safety helmets, it is stipulated that safety helmets must pass a series of impact absorption performance tests. Generally speaking, a qualified fiberglass safety helmet can effectively protect against the impact of a steel hammer weighing 5 kilograms falling from a height of 1 meter. This is because fiberglass material has high strength and toughness.
Fiberglass is a composite of glass fiber and resin, with glass fiber endowing the material with high strength and the ability to disperse and resist impact forces; Resin plays a role in bonding and protecting glass fibers, enhancing the overall integrity of the material. When a falling object hits the safety helmet, the helmet shell first contacts the falling object, dispersing the impact force to the entire surface of the helmet shell. Due to the curved design of the cap shell, some of the impact force can be converted into tangential force along the surface of the cap shell, reducing the impact force directly acting on the head.
At the same time, the cushioning structure between the cap liner and the cap shell also plays an important role. The hat lining is fixed to the head through straps. When impacted, the buffer space between the hat lining and the hat shell can absorb some energy, prolonging the duration of the impact force. According to the momentum theorem, the impact force will correspondingly decrease. Through the dual buffering of the cap shell and cap liner, the impact force transmitted to the head can be controlled within a safe range, effectively protecting the head from injury. However, the actual protective effect may also be affected by factors such as the shape and angle of the falling object, so it is advisable to avoid the risk of high falling objects as much as possible during use.
